During early 2003, more than 40% of Tirupur's electricity was produced by the Amaravathi Dam. Tourists tend to admire the Dam for its scenic beauty. It has a well laid park and adventurous steps to delight the "brave hearts". As you view across the dam, you will find the plains of Palni and Anaimalai.
